A key theme of Sacred Earth Activism’s supportive activities for XR’s April Rebellion in London will be using the power of water as a vessel to carry our visions and prayers for a world beyond fossil fuels.
Celebrating the wonder of water in and around World Water Day
World Water Day, which is held each year on 22 March, gives us all a focal point to celebrate, and demonstrate our gratitude for, the many gifts this sacred element continues to give us. So to build on the activities our Water Warriors working group began last September with ‘Back to Source’ ceremonies honouring our local rivers on World Rivers Day, we plan to host a couple of very special online events next week too.

Following on from Sacred Earth Activism’s inspiring two-day conference at the end of November, a selection of us on the steering group thought it might be valuable to share our thoughts, insights and impressions with you. So here we go:
COP26: Meaningful climate action rests on healing our relationship with nature, say indigenous leaders
While world leaders spent their time at COP26 discussing what are widely considered to be disappointing and dangerously inadequate climate outcomes, the focus of indigenous leaders was on reminding us of our intrinsic role as guardians of the Earth.
Joining the spiritual charge at COP26
Sacred Earth Activism will be doing all we can to support a positive outcome from the vital COP26 climate talks being held in Glasgow from Sunday 31 October to Friday 12 November by holding a number of sacred ceremonies and events over the course of the conference.
