Embodied Earth Activism

Join this four week online course exploring simple practices of embodied relationship to our Earth

Join this four week online course exploring embodied relational presence and practices to bring us deeply in connection with ourselves, each other and with Earth.

Facilitated by Jenny Haycocks who works within Extinction Rebellion and the wider movement of movements, here in the UK locally and nationally. Jenny is offering an embodied and relational approach, to our Earth and beyond, in all of her work and play.

Your physical felt body is in fact part of a gigantic system of here and other places, now and other times, you and other people - in fact, the whole universe. This sense of being bodily alive in a vast system is the body as it is felt from the inside' - Gene Gendlin

  • Session 1 - Monday May 13th 2024: Touching Earth - An introduction to embodied and relational presence through simple and accessible practices of sensory awareness

  • Session 3 - Monday 27th May 2024: Connected Ecologies - In resonant connection with the movement of all life, through the sensing body

  • Session 4 - Monday 3rd June 2024: Spanning Worlds - The sensing body as a portal into the source of creation, connection and wholeness. Practical applications for Sacred Earth Activists

Session Outline: Every session will begin with a sensory attunement, followed by an introduction and participation in simple embodiment practices and will finish with opportunities to share emerging insights.

Standing for Stonehenge

Sacred Earth Activism is joined by John Adams OBE to hear the latest on the legal challenge against the Stonehenge Tunnel, and to find out how we can all support.

John, Director of Save Stonehenge World Heritage Site Ltd and Chairman of the Stonehenge Alliance, spoke with us at our recent Online Summit about the road scheme threatening the sacred landscape of Stonehenge.

Since then, the courts have ruled against their legal challenge, giving the green light to the bulldozers to go into Stonehenge WHS. Stonehenge Alliance are launching an appeal against this decision, and John will join us to update on the latest that is happening.

Sacred Earth Activism Conference

Sacred Earth Activism conferences and summits bring together, in a unique way, activism with the spiritual by presenting contributions of international speakers, visionaries, wisdom teachers, activists and project leaders who are actively involved in the change-movement, whilst being grounded in their spirituality.

We aim to contribute to the positive change during these transformational times by sharing inspiration, knowledge and teachings through talks, conversations, ceremonies and workshops, whilst offering an opportunity to form activist communities.

This year’s summit will focus on sacred lands, sacred waters and sacred stories.

Demonstration against Stonehenge Road Scheme -12th December

⚖️As Stonehenge Alliance explains, "the High Court hearing is our chance to stop the earth movers from moving in and permanently disfiguring the Stonehenge landscape. It is critical that we make the most of the High Court hearing to draw people's attention to the £2.5bn damage planned to the World Heritage Site by the UK Government for reasons that simply do not add up."

✊🏻Sacred Earth Activism will be joining Stonehenge Alliance and others outside the Royal Courts of Justice for this demonstration.

📍On the pavement outside the Royal Courts of Justice, The Strand, London WC2A 2LL
🕛12:45 for about 30-45 minutes

Come and join us there - bring your placard, your message for Stonehenge.

Sacred Activism @ Unite to Survive

  • Marlborough Lane Bath, England, BA1 2NQ United Kingdom (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

We invite you to join us at Extinction Rebellion’s Unite to Survive event on the day of the Full Moon (Saturday 28 October) in the Royal Spa City of Bath. We will be undertaking a range of sacred actions to honour these sacred lands and in particular the element of water. So please bring water from your own local sources to use in Ceremony if you can.

Here is the schedule below:

10am - We join Dirty Waters’ outreach action, the Water Goddess and Water Bearers from XR Forest of Dean by the River Avon, next to the Orange Grove. We will gather water from the River and give it our thanks and blessings so that all waters may run clear and free.

The Sacred Procession with the Water Goddess will arrive at:

11am where the Full Moon Unite to Survive Water Ceremony will take place at Abbey Square (approx. 30 minutes).

The Sacred Procession with Water Goddess will arrive at:

12pm at the Water Shrine at the Circus area
Marchers are requested to pass by the Shrine silently while giving blessings to, and receiving them from, the many underground springs and rivers located below. They will be embodied and represented by the Water Goddess.

2.30pm – Sacred Earth Activism will present a talk called 'Remembering our Sacred Lands' at Victoria Park.

Overview The days sacred actions aim to merge our intentions, visions, blessings and prayers with your local water and water from the River Avon, as it is added to a ‘Living Well’. This will be offered to the ancient, underground waters of Bath, before it joins the River Avon, the sea and other waters around the world. Any remaining Well water may be collected after the ceremony to be offered to, and energise, your own local water sources.

Council of All Beings

Council of All Beings

The Council of All Beings asks us to embody a non-human (plant, animal, moon, river, mountain … anything in the natural world) as much as possible, to change perspective, to feel their pain, anger, fears, and concerns etc., and to voice them (“to hear within ourselves the sounds of the Earth crying” [Thich Nhat Hanh]), but also see their strengths and gifts.

The aim is to help us move away from an anthropocentric and exploitative worldview, and to heal ourselves and find again our sense of connection with the natural world; to remember the larger lifestory; to show empathy and compassion for all life and thus to join in the defence of Earth and of future generations.

The Council of All Beings is part of the bigger framework of The Work That Reconnects, founded by Joann Macy.

Standing with the Indigenous of Brazil and the Amazon Rainforest

Join us for a ceremonial gathering in solidarity with the Indigenous of Brazil and the Amazon Rainforest

Following a call from various Amazon protectors and indigenous rights organisations, Sacred Earth Activism International invites you to come together in solidarity with the indigenous people of Brazil, and in resistance to the devastating land bill, which is currently being pushed through the Congress in Brazil.

If this bill becomes law, it will not only greatly restrict indigenous land rights throughout Brazil, but will also advance the deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest with devastating ecological consequences for the planet overall.

We hope that you will join us for this interactive zoom event on 4th July, 7pm - 8.30pm (UK) during which we will contribute to the web of change and transformation woven world-wide.
