Sacred Activism @ Unite to Survive

  • Marlborough Lane Bath, England, BA1 2NQ United Kingdom (map)

We invite you to join us at Extinction Rebellion’s Unite to Survive event on the day of the Full Moon (Saturday 28 October) in the Royal Spa City of Bath. We will be undertaking a range of sacred actions to honour these sacred lands and in particular the element of water. So please bring water from your own local sources to use in Ceremony if you can.

Here is the schedule below:

10am - We join Dirty Waters’ outreach action, the Water Goddess and Water Bearers from XR Forest of Dean by the River Avon, next to the Orange Grove. We will gather water from the River and give it our thanks and blessings so that all waters may run clear and free.

The Sacred Procession with the Water Goddess will arrive at:

11am where the Full Moon Unite to Survive Water Ceremony will take place at Abbey Square (approx. 30 minutes).

The Sacred Procession with Water Goddess will arrive at:

12pm at the Water Shrine at the Circus area
Marchers are requested to pass by the Shrine silently while giving blessings to, and receiving them from, the many underground springs and rivers located below. They will be embodied and represented by the Water Goddess.

2.30pm – Sacred Earth Activism will present a talk called 'Remembering our Sacred Lands' at Victoria Park.

Overview The days sacred actions aim to merge our intentions, visions, blessings and prayers with your local water and water from the River Avon, as it is added to a ‘Living Well’. This will be offered to the ancient, underground waters of Bath, before it joins the River Avon, the sea and other waters around the world. Any remaining Well water may be collected after the ceremony to be offered to, and energise, your own local water sources.
