Focusing our efforts for change on the Bigger Picture
Welcome to the Bigger Picture, an initiative that aimed at highlighting events and actions that focus on our interconnectedness with all life and look to shift our consciousness towards this Bigger Picture.
In support of the XR “Big One” Rebellion, a mass gathering with other movements in response to our polycrises, we felt a heart centered and deeper focus towards the Bigger Picture was critical.
Everything in our world is connected, and the environmental crises we face are a direct result of our disconnection from the natural world. By focusing on the bigger picture, we invited people to shift away from the dominant narrative of separation and competition, and move towards regenerative and interconnected futures.
The Bigger Picture was a way to platform and connect with individuals and groups who were taking action in alignment this message, emphasising a regenerative and visionary approach that honours our interdependent web of life. It was and still remains our hope that by highlighting this message, we can inspire more people to take action towards creating a more just and sustainable world.
Together, let's amplify our voices and actions towards a better future for all.
Opening Ceremony
BIGGER PICTURE
Sacred Earth Activism hosted the Bigger Picture opening ceremony, featuring various speakers and organisers. The event aimed to highlight the interdependence of all life and to shift the narrative and consciousness towards a regenerative, sacred world. The ceremony coincided with the Spring Equinox and New Moon, making it a powerful moment for reflection and intention-setting. Attendees spoke highly of the event's impact on their perspectives, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to connect and act from a place of love for the Earth. Read more

Dom Bury, founder of the Church of the Ecstatic Earth, was one of the inspirational speakers at the Bigger Picture Opening Ceremony hosted by Sacred Earth Activism. During the ceremony, he shared a very moving poem, entitled “And the Earth shall bear again”, that resonated deeply with attendees, inspiring a sense of hope and possibility..
